Marble Hill University throws in the towel

One of the country’s private institutions of higher education, Marble Hill University has written National Council of Higher Education (NCHE), informing the registration and accreditation body that the university has ceased operating.

NCHE’s Chief Executive Officer Dr Ambumulire Phiri has acknowledged receiving the letter but said it does not explicitly point out the reasons the university is seeking voluntary deregistration.

The university has been offering degree programmes in marketing, business administration and human resources management, among other programmes.

NCHE has since reminded the public to continue being vigilant when seeking tertiary education by joining only those universities which are fully registered and accredited so that the certificates obtained are recognized and respected within Malawi and abroad.
