Maranatha Academy has reached the final stage of its nationwide scholarship drive aimed at expanding access to quality education for deserving learners, with the final examinations scheduled for 3 August in the Northern Region and Mponela in Dowa District.
The initiative offers full and partial scholarships to successful candidates, providing opportunities for academically promising learners, including those who may face challenges accessing quality education.
The final examinations follow successful sittings held in the Southern and Central regions.
Maranatha Academy Director Dr Ernest Kaonga said the strong turnout recorded in the Central Region demonstrated that Malawians value education and the opportunities created through scholarship programmes.
“We are very impressed with the turnout of students in the Central Region. It shows that Malawians value education and the opportunities these scholarships provide,” Dr Kaonga said.
He has urged parents, guardians and schools in the Northern Region and Mponela to take note of the examination date and encourage eligible learners to participate.
Dr Kaonga said candidates who have not yet paid the registration fee would be allowed to do so on the examination day before sitting for the tests.
The candidates will write examinations in Mathematics, English and Chichewa, with successful learners expected to receive full or partial scholarships to study at Maranatha Academy.
Results for all regions are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
