Malawians urged to bolster tourism

Minister of Tourism Vera Kamtukule has urged Malawians to collaborate in boosting the tourism industry.

Kamtukule made the remarks in Lilongwe at the 5th meeting of the National Assembly in the 50th session, where she was presenting a ministerial statement on the current status of the Tourism sector.

She said Malawians have a great role of writing good about their own country so that more people visit Malawi.

Kamtukule said the Ministry is implementing different programs aimed at developing the tourism sector.

According to Kamtukule, the tourism sector has proved as a potential sector that contribute to economic growth and development.

She further urged the legislators to work with her Ministry in developing tourism sites that could be in their areas.
