Malawians today, on Good Friday, join the rest of the world in Way of The Cross.
Good Friday is the day the Christians community across the world observes the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ through Way of The Cross.
President Lazarus Chakwera will join the observance of Way of the Cross at Botanic Garden in Lilongwe.
The Malawi leader will join the walk from City Centre roundabout in the Presidential Drive to Botanic Garden where interdenominational prayers will take place.
Vice President Dr Saulos Klaus Chilima and his spouse Mary are also participating in the Way of the Cross at St. Patrick’s Catholic in Lilongwe.
The congregants are expected to walk around Area 18 and Area 10 among other places before winding up at the same church.
