In a bid to bridge the digital divide in colleges, Blantyre Teacher Training School has received 15 computers from an initiative by the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) called Connect a Teacher Training College, which is under the Universal Service Fund.
Universal Service Fund’s Procurement Manager, Alfred Chibwana, said MACRA has donated similar computers to 8 Teacher’s Training Colleges (TTCs) nationwide.
Head of the Language Department at Blantyre TTC, Charles Office, pointed out that the institution had only three computers against 553 students and the donation will ease computer lessons at the school.
