MABEDI SPEAKS ON PERMANENT COACHING ROLE

Flames Caretaker Coach Patrick Mabedi says he is ready to start negotiations with the Football Association of Malawi if his services will be needed permanently.

In an interview with MBC, Mabedi whose three-month contract as Flames interim coach expires this month, said he will not apply for the job if FAM opts to advertise the job.

“They gave me the task, and I have done it. If they are interested in me they have to come and talk to me. The room is open for anyone to talk to me, I’m a free man,” Mabedi said.

Mabedi led the team in two 2023 AFCON Qualifiers against Ethiopia in June and Guinea last week as well as the COSAFA Cup in May.
