Lions Club donates to Salima District Hospital

In a bid to boost health services delivery, Salima Lions Club has donated assorted medical supplies worth K4 million to Salima District Hospital.

President for Salima Lions Club, Lion Mbumba Mita, said the move is in response to a request made by the hospital following shortage of trolleys and  stretchers.

Salima District Hospital Senior Nursing and Midwifery Officer, Yanjanani Mawindo, described the donation as timely and pledged to properly care for them.

“The trolleys will facilitate easy mobility of patients as well as transferring those that need support within the hospital. With increased cases of accidents that led to the setup of emergency unit here, the items will be of great use,” Mawindo said.
