KUNJE SENTENCED TO 18 MONTHS IMPRISONMENT

Chief Resident Magistrate Austin Banda has sentenced former Malawi Electoral Commission Commissioner, Linda Kunje, to 18 months imprisonment for obstructing a presidential convoy.

Her former driver, Jones Tewesa, has been handed 15 months imprisonment.

Counsel Christopher Masanje, led the defence for Kunje in Court while Senior Assistant Commissioner, Levison Mangani was State Prosecutor in the case.
