Ministry of Mining has officially opened the Mining and Minerals Regulatory Authority (MMRA) offices in Lilongwe, which signifies the operationalisation of the authority.
Minister of Mining, Monica Chang’anamuno said the move shows their commitment to upholding the highest standards of governance and regulatory oversight in the mining industry.
MMRA Director General, Samuel Sakhuta, said the authority will work to transform the country’s economy.
The Authority is responsible for sustainable management of mineral resources.
