Graduate students at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences will now have access to financing through low interest loans for various startups, courtesy of FDH Bank.
FDH Deputy CEO, George Chitera, said this when the Bank launched the FDH Graduate Start -Ups Programme.
Chitera said there was a need for the students to change their mindset from searching for employment to creating employment.
Speaking after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Vice Chancellor of MUBAS, Associate Professor Nancy Chitera, said the programme is in line with MUBAS’ vision of nurturing students to become entrepreneurs and innovators.
The facility, which will allow students to access limitless financing, is for students who are in their final year.
