Sosten Gwengwe, the Minister of Trade and Industry, has advised farmers and entrepreneurs to intensify their efforts in agricultural production and manufacturing to help improve the country’s economy.
Speaking at an SME window 3 stakeholders engagement meeting under AGCOM 2 in Mzuzu, Gwengwe noted that the country has great potential to advance in business if individuals, organisations, and companies commit to producing a variety of goods.
He emphasised the importance of companies and various businesspeople coming together to enhance their business activities for the country to export a variety of goods.
Gwengwe further advised business people attending the meeting to take advantage of the funds available through the AGCOM programme to acquire equipment for manufacturing various products.
Businesspeople, company owners, bankers, and representatives from the academia are some of the stakeholders at the meeting.
