CSOs bang heads on Social Protection Programmes

Civil Society Social Protection Network says the civil society remains crucial in ensuring smooth implementation of social protection programmes in the country.

The network’s Chairperson, Robert Mkwezalamba, was speaking in Mzuzu during consultative meetings with CSOs drawn from the Northern Region on the five-year strategic plan for CSOs to effectively complement implementation of the social protection programmes.

According to Mkwezalamba, the plan is designed to strengthen government’s projects on social protection to ensure more beneficiaries graduate from such programmes.

Northern Region Chairperson for CSOs, Kinear Mlowoka, said the five-year strategic plan will also help to create a better working platform.

The meeting has brought together over 21 CSOs in the North.
