District Commissioner for Chitipa, MacMillan Magomero, has called on District Executive Committee (DEC) members to go and register in the voter registration exercise, which is underway in the district.
Magomero said that voter registration is an important exercise to the country and its citizens.
He made the call on Wednesday during a DEC meeting in Chitipa District.
Acting Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for Chitipa, Gift Nyasulu, concurred with the District Commissioner that DEC members should lead by example in registering in the on-going voter registration exercise.
“It is my right and my responsibility to participate in the voter registration exercise. It is my right to choose a candidate of my choice. I will go this afternoon to register,” Nyasulu said.Chitipa district is in the first phase of the national voter registration exercise and the voter registration exercise started on 21st October 2025 in readiness for the September 16, 2025 General Elections.
