President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has touted the yet-to-be-commissioned Mwanza One Stop Border Post (OSBP) as key in ensuring the smooth flow of trade between Malawi and its neighbouring countries.
Government through the Malawi Revenue Authority MRA constructed the OSBP in Mwanza to expedite cross-border trade transactions.
The move will also help ensure that users of the border are served under one roof.
Speaking during a development rally in Mwanza yesterday, President Chakwera hinted that together with his Mozambican counterpart, President Filipe Nyusi, will commission the facility shortly.
The facility according to Dr Chakwera is one of many development infrastructures which will facelift the border district.
Similar structures have already been constructed at Mchinji and Dedza.
