President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has left Lilongwe and is now en-route to Blantyre in the Southern Region, where he will be carry out a number of official assignments.
One of the key events on the President’s itinerary is the Cyclone Freddy Memorial Service, scheduled to take place on Wednesday at Mulanje Stadium in Mulanje District.
Prior to their departure, President Chakwera and First Lady Madam Monica Chakwera were seen off at the Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe by government officials and members of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP), among others.
