CDH Investment Bank has contributed K5 million to the Presidential Charity Golf Tournament for the 2024 tournament slated for 11-12 October 2024 at Country Club Limbe.
The initiative seeks to raise funds to support needy students in public universities and survivors of Cyclone Freddy.
CDH’s Chief Business Development Officer, Jamal Kamoto, said they appreciate the importance of the initiative as it has proven beneficial over the years.
“The cause will assist deserving needy tertiary students to complete their studies and the bank is keen to support students to achieve their dreams, become empowered and make a difference in Malawi,” Kamoto said.
On Cyclone Freddy survivors, Kamoto said many people still need help.
According to Presidential Charity Golf Initiative organising committee member, Michael Khomani, they have targeted to raise K600 million for this year’s charity cause.
Khomani has since appealed for more support from companies and organisations.
CDH Investment Bank has assisted the initiative for three years in a row.
