Women of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) Nkhoma Synod have been challenged to strengthen their faith in Christ to overcome sin.
Reverend Patrick Masina of Chilobwe CCAP Church made this call at Chilobwe Primary School after a three-day gathering of the Women’s Guild from Mlanda Presbytery, held under the theme: “Whom Shall We Rely On?”
Masina emphasised that women have a crucial role in praying at the family level, serving as instruments of salvation. Masina also urged the Women’s Guild to always act with good morals and be role models in society.
Meanwhile, Member of Parliament for Ntcheu North, Lymon Zimphondo, encouraged church members to take the lead in discouraging baseless accusations against elderly persons as witches.
During the gathering, women were taught scriptures focusing on spiritual life, Christian morals, and charity work towards vulnerable groups in society.
