Batatawala’s case resumes today

The money laundering case involving businessman Abdul Karim Batatawala and former Chief of Immigration, Elvis Thodi, returns to court today.

The Zomba High Court, sitting as a constitutional court, is expected to determine whether the case is constitutional or not.

Batatawala and Thodi are answering charges for allegedly inflating figures for the supply of materials at the Immigration Department by a company said to be owned by Batatawala.
