Alliance resolute in serving Malawians — Mkaka

MCP Secretary General Eisenhower Mkaka says even though the departure of UTM from the Tonse Alliance is regrettable, the alliance remains committed to fulfilling the goals it set out to achieve.

His comments come just days after some UTM officials announced at a press briefing in Lilongwe their decision to pull out of the alliance, which they said awaits the blessings of the party’s National Executive Committee.

Mkaka pointed out that MCP and all the other parties in the alliance, who include People’s Party, MAFUNDE and People’s Progressive Movement are poised to continue serving Malawians, who gave the alliance mandate to run state affairs.
