Preparations for the golden jubilee plenary of the Association of Consecrated Women in Eastern and Central Africa (ACWECA) are now at an advanced stage.
The event is scheduled to take place from August 18 to 24 in the capital, Lilongwe.
President of the Association, Sister Rosalia Sakayombo of Religious Sisters of the Holy Spirit, made the announcement on Tuesday during a Press briefing in Lilongwe.
Sakayombo said the conference is expected to convene religious sisters from across the ACWECA region, including Malawi, Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, Eritrea, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Zimbabwe.
The theme for the golden jubilee is: “Transformative holistic formation for authentic living towards a deeper evangelisation in the ACWECA region and beyond.”
