Veep satisfied with Korea Africa Summit outcome

Vice President Dr Saulosi Chilima has expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the Korea Africa Summit.

Speaking to MBC Digital at the end of the summit, Dr Chilima disclosed that there will be several immediate low-hanging fruits that will be realised from the two-day conference.

He cited trade and agriculture agreements which have been signed between Malawi and Korea, will among others see increased production of agricultural produce for the export market.

According to the veep, the summit which attracted more than 50 heads of state and government, was worth Malawi’s attendance.

Among other many official engagements, the Vice President had an audience with Korean Prime Minister, Dr Han Duck Soo at his office in Seoul and later met with Malawians living in Korea.

Dr Chilima has left for Malawi and is scheduled to arrive home on Sunday.
