We want a Police Unit — Dedza North West

Group Village Headman Ngulube of Dedza North West has urged their Parliamentarian, Auzious  Chidobvu, to consider establishing a Police Unit in the area to tighten security.

Ngulube said the area is synonymous with smugglers, who pass through the constituency enroute to Mitundu from Mozambique.

“As a concerned Group Village Headman, we are asking our legislator to consider establishing the police [unit] for the safety of our citizens,” he said.

Chidobvu, who is an MCP lawmaker, said plans are already underway.

“I raised the issue in Parliament…The Ministry of Lands assured me [that it will] construct police officers’ houses at Kabwazi and other areas. I hope very soon, the government will start the project.”
