United Kingdom’s High Commissioner to Malawi Fiona Ritchie says the UK is committed to ensuring Malawi becomes a middle income nation, come 2063.
Ritchie said this on Thursday in Lilongwe as the UK is celebrating King Charles III’s 76th birthday and 60 years of partnership between them and Malawi.
She said her country is an investor and a friend for Malawi hence its determination to assist Malawi in its development agendas.
The King’s birthday celebration has coincided with 60 years of partnership between Malawi and UK. The celebration had to be postponed due to the death of the Vice President late Saulos Chilima and eight others during a plane crash in June this year.
