Save the Children hands over assets to partners

In an effort to promote girl-child education in the country, Save the Children has donated assorted items worth K800 million to Blantyre and Livingstonia CCAP synods as well as the Family Planning Association of Malawi.

These institutions have been key in implementing the Securing Children’s Rights Through Education and Protection (SCREP) programme.

Kenneth Wala, the team leader of SCREP, applauded the beneficiaries for their dedication during the project and has called for a continuation of the agenda despite the phasing out of the project.

Reverend Baxter Maulidi, the General Secretary of the Blantyre Synod, said they will take good care of the assets.
