Tilitonse Foundation in partnership with Comic Relief and UK AID is drilling civil society organisations (CSOs) on how to apply and access funds from the Civil Society Strengthening Fund (CSSF) under the Shifting the Power Programme in Malawi to bolster the capacity of local CSOs in the country.
As part of the initiative, the foundation is hosting a series of information and guidance sessions aimed at potential applicants. The sessions provide a comprehensive overview of the funding process, including a detailed look at the SR20 Shifting the Power Programme in Malawi and guidance on the CSSF application tools.
The first session is taking place in Lilongwe, where participants are learning about the fund’s roadmap and financial management guidelines. Presenters are offering insights into the programme’s objectives and funding mechanisms.
According to the programme we have seen, the next session will be held in Mzuzu.
The foundation is also providing further clarification on the CSSF proposal tools, helping participants navigate the application process.
The programme has incorporated in-depth discussions on financial management, budgeting, and safeguarding measures and question-and-answer sessions allowing participants to engage directly with the facilitators.
