Zantchito-Skills for Jobs programme, under the Ministry of Labour is conducting a two-day consultative workshop in Blantyre focused on reviewing Malawi’s labour laws.
Participants include representatives from various labour-related institutions, both public and private, as well as the Malawi Congress of Trade Unions and international labour experts.
The workshop will provide an overview of labour law reforms and facilitate discussions on proposed amendments to Malawi’s labour laws.
The EU funded programme aims to foster a job creation mindset over job seeking, targeting the needs of the Malawian economy for skilled professionals. It also aims to provide decent jobs and self-employment opportunities for young TEVET graduates, university graduates, and entrepreneurs, with special emphasis on supporting women.
