Standard Bank Malawi has challenged women in the country to think of how they can diversify and grow their money sources to create a legacy.
Head of Personal and Business Banking at Standard Bank, Charity Mughogho, said this in Lilongwe during a tea event for professional women, organised as part of the bank’s International Women’s Day celebration.
Mughogho pointed out that a lot of women establish economic ventures but face challenges to grow, sustain, and create a legacy.
She nonetheless acknowledged that in modern days, women are excelling in various sectors but added that there is a need to empower them on how to manage individual finances and embrace the shift.
One of the participants, Sibusiso Nyasulu, who is the Director of Customer Experience at Airtel Malawi, said the event has been an eye opener and it has empowered them on how to balance their professional and personal lives.
The event was themed ‘Money Matters for Women’.
