National Planning Commission (NPC) says religious leaders are crucial in fostering mindset change among their congregations to achieve Malawi 2063.
NPC Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Manager, Jenifer Mjuweni, said this in Mzuzu during an engagement with religious leaders in the Northern Region.
“I am hopeful that religious leaders will encourage the spirit of hard work [among] their fellow members in order to create wealth instead of depending on handouts and corruption,” Mjuweni said.
Presidential Advisor on Religious Affairs, Brian Kamwendo, said he expects religious leaders to take action among and instil the spirit of hard work within their communities to achieve Malawi 2063.
General Secretary for CCAP Synod of Livingstonia, William Tembo, described the meeting as timely.
