President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has this afternoon left for Lilongwe after completing his tour of duty in the Southern Region.
Dr Chakwera was in the Southern Region to attend the memorial service for those who died during the time that Cyclone Freddy hit the country.
Speaking at Chileka Airport, Minister of Information, Moses Kunkuyu, said it was only befitting for President Chakwera to attend the memorial service, saying he had stood by the affected families from the onset of the disaster.
