A motorcycle rider identified as Innocent Madziayenda has been killed in an accident after he crashed into a Scania lorry at Kamuzu International Airport Turn Off on Saturday, closer to Total Filling Station’s entrance at Lumbadzi.
Lumbadzi Police’s publicist, Felix Kwinyani, says Madziayenda sustained head injuries and open fracture on the right leg and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Blessings hospital in the same area.
The driver of the truck, Allan Menasi, is currently in police custody waiting for paper work.
Madziayenda hailed from Binala Village, Traditional authority Chitukula in Lilongwe.
