MINDSET CHANGE CRUCIAL IN DEMYSTIFYING INFERTILITY – FIRST LADY

First Lady Madam Monica Chakwera has implored Malawians to embrace mindset change to demystify challenges infertile women and couples face across the country.

Madam Chakwera made the call at the ninth conference of Merck Foundation Africa-Asia Luminary currently underway in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In her keynote address monitored online, the First Lady pledged her support towards improving the welfare of infertile women who are vulnerable to various forms of abuse.

“It is an amazing journey, very impactful and efficient. There is still a lot more to come. On behalf of the people of Malawi, we welcome the long-term partnership with Merck Foundation and with all of you First Ladies of Africa to establish a strong platform of specialised and well-trained health experts to transform the healthcare sector in Malawi,” said Madam Chakwera during the conference.

At least 15 African First Ladies are attending the two-day conference in the United Arab Emirates.
