Malawi Congress Party (MCP) First Vice President, Catherine Gotani Hara has reiterated the government’s focus on delivering durable and high-quality projects across the country.
Hara, who is also Speaker of the National Assembly made the remarks at Misuku Primary School ground during a political rally.
Hara emphasised that President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is pushing for high standards in infrastructure development to make the best use of financial resources, many of which come from loans.
She pointed to the Rumphi-Bolero road, as an example of poor-quality construction in the past. “Our own Chitipa road was tarred, but if you look at the potholes, the quality was not up to standard,” she said.
Senior Chief Mwenemisuku applauded government for developmental projects taking place in the district, including the construction of Tchuwa Secondary School, which he said has changed the face of the area and brought education closer to learners.
