MCP lauds late Chaziya’s son for development projects

Malawi Congress Party Regional Chairperson for the Centre, Zebron Chilondola, has commended Lawrence Chaziya, son of the late Lynold Chakakala Chaziya, for kickstarting development projects in the area of Traditional Authority Khongoni in Lilongwe North West.

Chilondola made the remarks during celebrations of the late Chakakala Chaziya’s life, a renowned government official who served as a minister in a number of ministries and as the Reserve Bank of Malawi Governor before his passing in 2000.

Chilondola praised the late Chakakala Chaziya’s contributions to Malawi, saying his name will never be forgotten.

Speaking during the ceremony, Lawrence Chaziya, said he is initiating the development projects in the area to honour his father’s legacy, who equally did the same.

Chaziya has donated K1.7 million to Kamzimbi School for electricity connection and provided bicycles to students, distributed through local chiefs, for their mobility.
