A service of worship is underway at Nkhata Bay District Hospital Ground where members of the clergy are praying for peace, unity, and patriotism among all Malawians.
Director of Ceremonies during the service of worship is the General Secretary for Livingstonia Synod of CCAP Rev. William Tembo.
The service is being held under the theme ‘Remembering our heroes: Upholding their legacy.’
State President Dr Lazarus Chakwera is leading Malawians at the service.
Dr Chakwera has since read the scripture from the book of Nehemiah Chapter 6 Verses 10 to 16.
