Ministry of Justice says the country is at the cusp of a major judicial system transformation as it gears up for the full adoption of e-justice system.
The move seeks to improve transparency and efficiency in legal processes and doing away with manual paperwork in courts.
This was highlighted at the e-Justice National Conference in Lilongwe where stakeholders, who include legal teams from across Africa, are deliberating on how best to migrate the country to full electronic system of Justice.
Justice Minister Titus Mvalo stressed that neighbouring countries such as Tanzania have already achieved full digitalisation, addressing issues like lost documents and delays.
Chief Justice, Rezine Mzikamanda, noted that e-justice will improve access for the underprivileged and reduce corruption.
The conference will conclude on 18 September this year.
