Malawi experiences Joyous Celebrations’ live recording

South African gospel band Joyous Celebrations has recorded their new live set dubbed Joyous 28 in Lilongwe.

The event, which took place in front of thousands of enthusiastic Malawians, was attended by several prominent figures, including the Minister of Local Government, Richard Chimwendo Banda and Vera Kamtukule, the Minister of Tourism, among other government officials.

Speaking after the recording, Kamtukule, applauded the band for choosing Malawi, saying their presence in the country is a testament that Malawi’s tourism sector is being recognised on the continent.

Founder and Director for Joyous Celebrations, Lindelani Mkhize expressed his joy at recording the set in Malawi, pointing out  that some of the songs featured on Joyous 28 are spiritually uplifting and will contribute to the healing process within the country.

Organiser of the show, Godfrey Zulu of the Psalm Celebrations, appreciated all Malawians who came to the show, promising to come back with a bang in 2025.
