Karonga Agriculture Development Division (KRADD) has tipped farmers in the country to adopt climate-resilient farming technologies to increase their productivity and sustain their livelihoods.
KRADD Programs Manager, Enock Mzembe, said this during an agriculture fair in Karonga district.
“Let me advise farmers to link up with companies and banks to access loans that can help them increase their productivity and I encourage the farmers to use agriculture fairs to market their products,” Mzembe said.
Deputy Chairperson for Karonga District Council Councillor, King Mvula said farmers need to change their mindset and adopt climate-smart agriculture.
The theme for the 2024 Agriculture Fare for the district is ” Climate Smart Agriculture: Key to increased productivity, agro-processing and market linkages for sustainable rural livelihoods.”
