Karonga District Council (KDC) officials have travelled to the United Republic of Tanzania to visit Kyela District Council on an exchange visit.
The team comprises ward councillors, Senior Chief Mwakaboko, a representative of Civil Society Organisations in the district and officials from the council secretariat.
According to KDC Chairperson, Councillor Bellium Msukwa, one of the objectives of the exchange visit is to learn how their Tanzanian counterparts have managed to develop their district.
“We can as well use this trip to foster cooperation between Karonga and Kyela business communities mind you there are several bottlenecks experienced by business people from both sides,” Msukwa said.
