Hilal Africa, a German based charitable organization, has distributed meat to Muslim and non-Muslim communities in Mzuzu and Mzimba as part of this year’s Eid Al Adha celebrations.
Speaking at Kandaha Masjid at Katoto in Mzuzu after making the donation, Chairman for Hilal Africa, Umut Turan, said this was made possible with support from well-wishers in Germany.
Turan further called upon other well-wishers to reach out to the less privileged particularly those living in hard to reach areas in Malawi.
Eid Al adha is commemorated annually following the footsteps of Ibrahim who was willing to sacrifice his son Ismail, to God.
