Federation of Disability in Malawi (FEDOMA) has called on the corporate world to assist in promoting the welfare of people with disability by amplifying their candidature as the country heads towards the 2025 General Election.
Chief Executive Officer for FEDOMA, Symon Munde, made the call in Blantyre during a meeting with various organisations that promote the rights of people with disability.
The meeting comes as Malawi commemorates disability awareness month.
Munde said there is a need for leveling the playing field so that people with disability are provided a platform to compete at all levels of political positions come 2025 polls.
Malawi started commemorating disability month in 2015 to raise awareness on disability rights.
