Former Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) and Malawi News Agency (MANA) intern, Mary Luhanga, has embarked on a project to construct Community-Based Child Care centres in Balaka District.
Luhanga said the areas are Lupanga and Mussa which are under Traditional Authorities Nsamala and Sub Traditional Authority Nyanyala in the district.
She said she was inspired to take action after noticing a lack of purpose-built child care centres and school blocks in the area.
District Commissioner for Balaka Tamanya Harawa described Mary’s enthusiasm in reducing ignorance in the area as exemplary.
