Dr Usi attends Thanksgiving, farewell mass

Vice President Dr Micheal Usi is this morning attending a thanksgiving and farewell mass of Right Reverend Francis Frank Kaulanda who is the third bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Lake Malawi at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe.

Right Reverend Kaulanda is retiring and was ordained as Reverend Deacon in the Anglican Church in 1986 and has served the church as a Priest and Bishop for 45 years.

Kaulanda has served in various portfolios of the Anglican Church such as Diocesan Secretary and Diocesan Youth Coordinator, among others.

He has also served as Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee in the Central Region and worked as a Board Member of Nice Trust and Chairperson of Micro-loan Foundation.

The Man of God also served as Chancellor for the Lake Malawi Anglican University ( LAMAU).

The thanksgiving and farewell mass is taking place under the theme “Finishing the Race”.
