Christian Aid donates vehicles to Ministry of Gender

Christian Aid has donated two Nissan Navara vehicles to the Ministry of Gender, Community Development and Social Welfare in Lilongwe.

The handover ceremony was attended by officials from the ministry and representatives from Christian Aid.

Dunia Mphande, the Head of Programmes at Christian Aid, explained that the vehicles were previously used in a social support and resilience programme funded by the European Union (EU).

“With the completion of the programme, we decided to donate the vehicles to the ministry,” Mphande explained.

Dr Nertha Semphere Mgala, Principal Secretary for the Ministry of Gender, Community Development and Social Welfare, emphasised that the vehicles will enable the ministry to reach remote areas and effectively implement the “Amayi Titukuke” project across the country.

Mgala expressed her gratitude to Christian Aid for their generous donation.
