MUST to open campus in Blantyre

The Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) has signed a block lease agreement with Malawi Posts Corporation (MPC) to open a city campus at the MPC Conference Centre in Blantyre.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, MUST Vice Chancellor, Professor Address Malata,  said the university is growing and there is a need to expand to accommodate students in all areas.

She noted that some programmes will move from the Thyolo Campus to the MPC Conference Centre starting in January 2025.

Malata also revealed plans to open city campuses in Lilongwe and Mzuzu, depending on the availability of funds.

MPC Postmaster General, Angel Banda, said that the agreement is part of MPC’s turnaround strategy, emphasising that the partnership will enhance their revenue by leasing the conference centre to MUST.
