President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has arrived in the country from USA and Kenya, where he attended USA-Africa business summit and Africa fertilizer and Soil health summit respectively.
Speaking at Kamuzu International Airport, Dr Chakwera said a lot has been achieved from the engagements for the social economic development of Malawi.
The Malawi leader said apart from launching the $350 million Millennium Challenge Compact for infrastructure development in Malawi, the USA-Africa summit accorded Malawian business captains and government officials avenues to negotiate deals with investors in different sectors.
On the Africa fertilizer and Soil health summit in Kenya, Dr Chakwera highlighted that Malawi was a shining example in Africa as it has already set into motion a 10 year soil fertility plan of action in line with the Malawi 2063 pillar number one, which is agriculture commercialisation.
