President Dr Lazarus Chakwera and the First Lady Madam Monica Chakwera have left Likoma Island for Lilongwe.
Dr Chakwera and Madam Chakwera were in Likoma for official duties.
While on the island, they visited the expansion works of Chima-Likoma Health Centre, Likoma Solar Power Plant by EGENCO and Likoma Port which is under construction.
Speaking during the launch of the Tipewe Cholera Campaign as well as the re-launch of the HPV Vaccine Campaign for girls aged between 9 and 14 years Dr Chakwera assured people of Likoma of various development projects to be initiated by his government.
The Malawi leader was seen off at Likoma Airport by cabinet ministers and some government officials among others.
