Chakwera commended on Presidential interactions

Former moderator of the CCAP Livingstonia Synod, Reverend Mezuwa Banda, has commended President Dr Lazarus Chakwera for his continued interest in engaging various stakeholders and the citizenry, saying this is providing room for a deeper understanding of critical issues needing immediate attention.

This follows President Chakweras’ interaction with people from different backgrounds, including religious and traditional leaders, the youth and the academia.

According to Banda, such engagements are having a huge political impact hence creating an edge over other presidential aspirants ahead of the 16 September 2025 elections.

Another Mzuzu-based social commentator, Augustine Harawa, observed that unlike other presidential aspirants who are rarely seen in public, the interface between President Chabwera and the public will result in further consolidation of trust by the citizenry towards the Malawi leader.

President Chakwera has been having interactions with the public, including the SONA for Youth, where participants were able to ask questions and provide practical solutions to various social, economic and political challenges being encountered by the citizenry.
