South West Police Region has commended the business community in the region for supporting them in strengthening security ahead of the festive season.
Commissioner of Police for the region, Noel Kayira, made the commendation at Kanjedza Police Training school in Blantyre during Christmas Carols organised by the police in the region.
Kayira revealed that communities in the police region have donated fuel and other materials, including finances, to ensure police patrol vehicles are on the road throughout the season.
“With this overwhelming support, I assure you that we will be on the ground day and night to protect lives and property,” said Kayira.
He reminded the security officers that they are policing a difficult generation hence the need to seek God’s guidance.
