All set for Assemblies of God elective conference

President of the Malawi Assemblies of God Church, Bishop Dr Andrew Dube, has announced that all is set for the church’s elective conference, which begins this evening and will conclude on Friday, 23rd September 2024, at the church’s headquarters in Area 32, Lilongwe.

Dube said the conference is expected to set a new direction of the church as new leaders are to be ushered into power.

He made the remarks at the Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe when he welcomed the guest speaker at the event Reverend Gary Allan Dickinson who is the missionary Pastor from Gabon.

Dickinson expressed optimism that his visit to the country will not only impact the church but also the nation as a whole.

He noted that despite the socio-economic challenges Malawians are facing, God has great plans for the country.

“Nothing takes God by surprise. I understand the country has been through a lot of dehumanising challenges including Cyclone Freddy but nothing takes God by surprise,” he said.

The Assemblies of God elects its leaders every four years. This year’s elective conference is themed ‘Anchoring Perpetual Relevance.v
