The Malawi High Commission in Tanzania has cancelled the 2024 Malawi Investment and Trade Forum which was scheduled to commence today in Tanzania.
This comes after President Dr Lazarus Chakwera announced 21 days of national mourning following the death of Vice President Dr Saulos Klaus Chilima.
Malawi High Commissioner to Tanzania, Andrew Kumwenda, has since appealed to delegates that were already at the forum in that country to network and hold business-to-business engagements before they leave.
Some of the notable business captains at the forum included representatives of FDH Bank, National Bank of Malawi, MCCCI and the Ministry of Tourism.
